How to Log Daily Water Intake
On the Today tab, scroll down to the Water module and either:
- Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to increase or decrease the logged water amount by 8 oz (~237 mL).
- Tap and slide to the right or left to increase or decrease logged water amount
- If you want to log a custom water value (value outside the standard increment amount), tap on the water value, then enter the exact total amount for the day.
Note: Currently, it is only possible to log water for the current day.
How to adjust your daily water goal
On the Today tab, scroll down to the Water graph and tap Manage Goal. The new goal will be set for the current and future days, until manually edited again.
Note: Zero uses the information you provided during onboarding to suggest a daily water goal. However, your hydration needs may vary, so you can adjust this goal based on your individual needs and circumstances. If you’re unsure what’s right for you, consider consulting your doctor for personalized guidance.
Why Logging Your Water Intake Matters
Thirst is often mistaken for hunger. Drinking enough water may help reduce unnecessary snacking, support appetite regulation, and help you feel more comfortable during your fasting window.
Staying well-hydrated also plays an important role in how your body functions throughout the day. Logging your water intake in Zero helps you build awareness of your hydration habits and supports your overall health and fasting experience.
Personalized to Your Needs
Thirst is often mistaken for hunger. Drinking enough water may help reduce unnecessary snacking, support appetite regulation, and help you feel more comfortable during your fasting window.
Everyone’s hydration needs are different based on body size, activity level, climate, and fasting routine. Logging helps you find what works best for your body and adjust as needed.
Benefits of Regularly Hydrating
Helps manage hunger and energy
Supports focus, mood, and physical performance
Like fasting, hydration is most effective when it becomes a consistent habit over time
